Default The beginning of 2010 Market Season

The first Market of the year is January 23. I can hardly wait. I will be taking eggs. That's it so far. I ordered 87 bunches of onions from Dixondale Farms yesterday. We are on a roll. This weekend I will order my Spring chicks from Moyers and finish my crop schedule so I can begin sending for seeds. I am still working out what to plant in the two 28x120 greenhouses. I also need to enlarge my seed starting area in the dining room. It is going to be a while before I have a spot set up in the greenhouse.

That's great news! Keep us posted on how the runup and planning goes.

Are you hoping to take more than just eggs (is that what the onions are for, or are those for seed?)?

I have ordered the onions for planting in April. I just do not have enough space to grow out my own plants yet. Dixondale has a very nice product. To check out what is available and to determine what grows best in you area go to: wwwdixondalefarms.com. Because onions are daylight sensitive it is important to grow onions developed for your latitude. Eggs will be a good offering at the Market. I just want to keep my customers thinking about us.
