Default Grants and Loans for Farm Women

Are there any Grants or Loans available for Farm Women? I really want to buy a Green House for next year. I would like to raise organically grownbedding plants and I am really interested in the Greenhouse raspberries. With no off the farm income at this time, my bank will not even concider a loan. I am the owner of the business, hubby is forced labor If there is any place that could help me, where do I find it?

Being a woman shouldn't be a reason to be denied a loan. That would be discrimination. You should be able to apply any place a man can apply.

I didn't say any thing about being denied a loan for being a woman !!! Woman are alright By me :> !!!!!!

If FSA has money to give this lady, because she's a woman in agriculture let them discriminate away !!!

The other bank probably was only looking for employement info and income and in todays economy who knows what any bank is looking at..... They all want buisness plans and paperwork that takes a college degree to fill out if you apply for a business loan !!!

It's actually good to see bank's are refusing some loans, if they had been looking a some of what they did in the past few years *( selling money on credit)* we might not be in the mess we are in !!!!!

Also by having a refusal by a for profit bank makes a loan from FSA even easier to get !!! And may also result in a better interest rate and length of loan !!

Money is always a controversial topic. Even more so at this time. I decided to go for minority loans because this is the one time that I am one LOL. I spent a couple of hours searching yesterday and I think I might be eligible for some stimulus money through FSA. I am going to have to sit down and work up a plan to get some of it. Our local Cooperative extension is having a class on writing Grants and I am going to take it. Awfully expensive at $95 but most likely worth every penny.
If it takes a college degree, I guess I can finally put mine to work. I have a BA in Social Science and Anthropoly from SUNY Binghamton class of 1974. Only used it one year when National Geographic paid me $7 a day perdiem for work on Upper Deleware Early Man Project.
Time to get outside and pick my Dwarf Taylor Shell Beans.

Forgot, I am not being denied a loan because I am a woman , this time. I am being denied because I do not have year round employment. I will try my other bank where I am pretty sure I can get a secured loan just not enough for the big gutter greenhouse system I would like.
