Default Kubota ZD21 Losing Power

I have a kubota zd21 that loses power when I put a load on it. It idles at normal speed and at fast speed very well and mows fine but when I mow uphill and put a strain on the mower it acts like it runs out of fuel but will not die. When I shut off the mower off and stop forward progress the engine speed goes back to full speed and I continue on. I have changed both fuel filters and still no change. It is a diesel and I am at a loss.

Sounds like a fuel pump problem or you may have air in the fuel lines

Well, guys, with all your help you'll be happy to know you got my Kubota up and running...sort of a blend of everyone's help. Nice part is this: by the time I got to the fields, they were about a foot high this morning, and into the third field, somthing hidden in the jumped up and slammed me right square in the forehead. Now if you guys could have seem that coming...well!! anyway, a nice trip to my friend's OR and a few stitches later, the question begs to be asked: go back out or wait another day till the swelling goes down????
