I have also been to France 2 months ago. I went to visit one of my friend's company called NovaBiom. There are growing miscanthus since 2007 and have planted more than 3800 acres in France, Belgium and Italy.
Miscanthus harvests are used in biomass boiler for heat or for animal bedding like poultry or horses.
They have large areas of
miscanthus giganteus nurseries for rhizomes production. It seems to be very labour intensive to produce those rhizomes !!
