Northeast SARE deadlines for proposals and preproposals

Preproposals for all Research and Education and Professional Development grants must be submitted on line by midnight July 31. A preproposal is a brief concept document describing planned outcomes, methods, and budget, and it is submitted by going to the Northeast SARE web site. Between now and then, you are encouraged to download and read the "Guide for Applicants" so you better understand the content and review process for these grants.

November 24, 2009
Postmark deadline for Sustainable Community Grants. We will release the application in early August, and in the meantime you are encouraged to look at brief descriptions of recent Community grants. These awards are for community groups working with farmers to advance economic development.

December 1, 2009
Postmark deadline for Partnership Grants. We will release the application in early August, and in the meantime you are encouraged to look at brief descriptions of recent Partnership grants. These awards are for agricultural service providers who work directly with farmers.

December 8, 2009
Postmark deadline for Farmer Grants. We will release the application in early August, and in the meantime you are welcome to download and read "How to Write a SARE Farmer Grant." You can also read brief descriptions of last year's awards.

Thanks for that valuable information. I will hurry up and study the writing a grant information. There are several ideas floating around the farm that might be implimented using a SARE grant. Very helpful information.
